04A わたしは観光客
Eric Dreyfus: Good morning, sir.
Eric Dreyfus: おはようございます。
Josh Epstein: Morning.
Josh Epstein: おはよう。
Eric: Are you looking for something?
Eric: なにかお探しですか？
Josh: Yes. I heard that several art galleries moved out of SoHo. Where'd they go?
Josh: ええ。ソーホーから引っ越して行った画廊がいくつかあると聞いたんですが。どこに引っ越したんですか。
Eric: Chelsea.
Eric: チェルシーです。
Josh: Oh, what kind of neighborhood is that?
Josh: へえ、そこはどんな地域なんですか。
Eric: It's nice, safe, and quiet. There are lots of townhouses and some small commercial buildings.
Eric: いいところですよ。安全で静かです。タウンハウスも多いし、ビジネス用の小さなビルもいくつかあります。
Josh: Is there anything else to see?
Josh: なにかほかに見るところはありますか。
Eric: Yes, there is - the Joyce Theater on 8th between 20th and 21st Streets, and the Chelsea Hotel - where a lot of artists lived. And there's a famous little diner around the corner at 9th and 22nd.
Eric: そうですね。20丁目と21丁目の間の８番街にジョイス・シアターがあります。多くのアーティストが住んでいたチェルシー・ホテルもあります。9丁目と22丁目の角のあたりには、小さいけれど有名な食堂もあります。
Josh: Why did the galleries move there?
Josh: ほう。ところで、どうして画廊はそこに引っ越したんですか。
Eric: Probably to get away from the high rents, the noise, and of course, the tourists
Eric: おそらく高い家賃と騒音から逃げたかったのでしょうね。それからもちろん、観光客からも。
Josh: But I'm a tourist!
Josh: わたしも観光客なんですけど！
Eric: Yes, you are.
Eric: ええ、そうですね。
Josh: Thank you.
Josh: ありがとう。
Eric: You're welcome.
Eric: どういたしまして。
