Katie: Hey, Lisa, could you help me carry this food to the dining table?
ケイティー：ねえリサ、このお料理をテーブルまで持ってってもらえる？
Lisa: Yeah, sure.
リサ：いいわよ。手伝うわ。
Katie: Could you just put that right there in the center of the table?
ケ：それを、テーブルの真ん中のここに置いてもらえる？
Lisa: Sure.
リ：いいわよ。
Katie: Oh, I forgot the napkins. I'll be right back!
ケ：あら、ナプキンを忘れちゃった。取ってくるわ！
Lisa: Hey, what are you so nervous about?
リ：ねえ、どうしてそんなにそわそわしてるの？
Katie: I just want things to go well, that's all.
ケ：すべてちゃんとうまくいくようにと思って。それだけよ。
Lisa: It's just a small dinner party for friends. Everything doesn't have to be perfect, you know.
リ：ただの友だちどうしの小さなディナーパーティーよ。完璧じゃなきゃいけないことはないのよ。
Katie: Oh, I know. I just want us all to have a good time.
ケ：うん、わかってるわ。ただ、みんなが気持ちよく過ごしてほしいなと思って。
Lisa: Well, relax. I am sure everything will be fine.
リ：落ち着いて。きっとうまくいくわ。
Katie: Hey, what time is it?
ケ：ねえ、今何時？
Lisa: Almost eight o'clock.
リ：８時ぐらいよ。
Katie: Oh, the guys will be here any minute! Oh, could you move those shoes over there?
ケ：あら、あの人たち、もう来るわ！ そこのクツ、片付けてもらえる？
Lisa: OK. Anything else?
リ：オーケー。他には？
Katie: No, that should be fine.
ケ：ないわ。それだけでいいわ。
Katie: I'll get it!
ケ：私が出るわ！
Katie: Oh, hi, Brian. Hi, Jason.
ケ：どうも、ブライアン、ジェイソン
Jason: Hi, Katie. Oh, hi Lisa.
ジェイソン：やあ、ケイティー。やあ、リサ。
Lisa: Hi.
リ：どうも。
Brian: Hi sweetie. Here, I brought a bottle of wine.
ブライアン：やあ、スイーティー。ワイン、買って来たよ。
Katie: Oh, thanks so much.
ケ：あら、ありがとう。
Brian: It's that Pinot Noir that you liked at the restaurant we went to in Vancouver.
ブ：バンクーバーのレストランで君が気に入ったピノ・ノワールだよ。
Katie: Oh, wow. You found a place to buy it here? Great! I love this one!
ケ：わあ。この辺でどこに売ってるか、探してくれたの？ 素敵！これ好きなの！
Lisa: So please come in and sit down. We just now finished putting the food on the table.
リ：さあ、入って、席について。たった今、お料理を並べ終えたところよ。
Jason: Great, I'm hungry and the food looks fantastic.
ジ：いいねえ。おなかが空いたよ。料理、うまそうだねえ。
Katie: OK, OK, but before we eat, we should open this wine and have a toast.
ケ：オーケー、でも食べる前に、このワインを開けて乾杯しましょ。
Lisa: That sounds nice.
リ：それはいいわね。
Jason: Sure, I just hope I can wait that long to eat.
ジ：ああ、でも早く食べたくて、待ち切れないよ。
Lisa: You had better wait!
リ：待つのよ！
Katie: Brian, can you open the wine? I'll just go grab some glasses.
ケ：ブライアン、このワイン、開けてくれる？ グラスを持ってくるわ。
Lisa: So you guys had a good time in Vancouver?
リ：バンクーバーは楽しかった？
Brian: Yeah it was wonderful.
ブ：ああ、素晴らしかったよ。
Katie: OK, so let's all make a toast.
ケ：オーケー、じゃあみんな、乾杯しましょう。
Jason: What are we drinking to?
ジ：何に乾杯する？
Katie: Um, let's drink to friends.
ケ：う〜ん、友だちに乾杯しましょ。
Lisa: That sounds nice. To friends!

Katie: So actually, Brian and I have a little announcement to make.
ケ：ところで、実はブライアンと私、ちょっとしたお知らせがあるの。
Lisa: Oh, really? What is it?
リ：あら、そうなの？ 何？
Brian: Well, actually when we were on vacation in Vancouver, we got engaged.
ブ：実はバンクーバーでバカンス中に、僕たち、婚約したんだ。
Lisa: What! Really? I'm so happy for the two of you!
リ：え！ ホント？ おめでとう！
Jason: Yeah, that is great!
ジ：それはよかったね。
Lisa: Oh my god! How many people have you told so far?
リ：びっくり！ 今まで何人に話した？
Katie: Well we both called our parents. Other than that, we have just told you two.
ケ：２人とも両親に電話したわ。だけどそれ以外では、あなたたち２人が初めてよ。
Lisa: Really? I feel so honored that we are among the first you have told!
リ：ホントに？ 私たちが最初って、光栄だわ。
Katie: Of course. Both of you are invited to the wedding.
ケ：心配しなくても、あなたたち、ちゃんと結婚式に招待するからね。
Brian: And Jason, I fully expect you to be my best man!
ブ：それからジェイソン、君には、僕の付添人をやってもらうつもりでいるからね！
Jason: Yeah, of course! I'd love to. Well, I think we have something more important to drink to now. To Katie and Brian!
ジ：ああ、いいとも！ 喜んで。じゃあ、もっと大事なものに乾杯しなきや。ケイティーとブライアンに乾杯！
Lisa: Yeah, to Katie and Brian!
