Katie: Lisa, the guys will be here any minute, so could you help me clean up really quickly.

Lisa: Sure, no problem. What should I do?
リサ：いいわよ。何をすればいい？
Katie: Could you just straighten up those magazines on that table?

Lisa: Sure.

Katie: Oh, and could you pick up those shoes from the floor and put them in my bedroom.
ケ：その床に落ちてるクツ、私の寝室に持って行ってもらえないかしら。
Lisa: No problem.
リ：いいわよ。
Katie: Oh, hi, Jason. Come on in.
ケ：ああ、ジェイソン。入って。
Jason: Thanks.
ジェイソン：ありがとう。
Katie: Didn't Brian come with you?
ケ：ブライアンは一緒じゃないの？
Jason: No. Actually, we had a plan to come together, but he called me to say he had forgotten something at home, so he told me to go on ahead by myself. I am sure he'll be here soon.
ジ：うん。一緒に来ようと思っていたんだけど、何か忘れ物をしたって電話をしてきたんだ。先に行っててくれって。でももうすぐ来るんじゃないかな。
Katie: Oh, I see. I bet he forgot the wine I asked him to bring.
ケ：なるほど。きっとワインを忘れたんだわ。彼に頼んでおいたんだけど。
Jason: Yeah, maybe that was it.
ジ：ああ、たぶんそうだ。
Katie: Oh, well, please sit down.
ケ：ああ、じゃあ、座って。
Lisa: Oh, hi, Jason. Nice to see you again.
リ：ああ、ジェイソン。この間はどうも。
Jason: Oh, hi Lisa. How are you?
ジ：やあ、リサ。元気？
Lisa: Just fine. How've you been?
リ：元気よ。あれから元気にしてた？
Jason: Busy with work, but that's normal.
ジ：仕事が忙しいけど、まあいつものことさ。君は？
Lisa: Can I get you something to drink?
リ：私もずっと元気よ。何か飲む？
Jason: Yeah, sure. Um Do you have any beer?
ジ：うん、ビールある？
Lisa: Yes, of course. I'll just go get some.
リ：もちろんよ。とってくるわ。
Katie: Oh, hi, Brian. Come on in.
ケ：ああ、ブライアン。入って。
Brian: Hi, honey. Oh, I brought this wine.
ブライアン：やあ、八二−。ワイン持って来たよ。
Katie: Oh, thanks. Is this what you forgot the first time?
ケ：ありがとう。忘れ物ってこれのこと？
Brian: Yeah. How did you know?
ブ：そう。なんで知ってるの？
Katie: Jason said you were coming alone because you forgot something at home. And I just guessed it was the wine I asked you to bring.
ケ：ブライアンが言ってた。あなたが忘れ物をしたから、別々に来ることになったって。それって、私が頼んだワインじゃないかなと思ったの。
Brian: You know me better than I know myself.
ブ：君は、僕よりも僕のことをわかってるね。
Katie: Well, I wouldn't say that, come in and sit down.
ケ：ブライアンったら。入って、座って。
Brian: Oh, hi Jason.
ブ：やあ、ジェイソン。
Jason: How's it going, Brian?
ジ：ブライアン、元気かい？
Brian: Just fine.
ブ：元気だとも。
Lisa: Oh, hi, Brian. I thought I heard you come in.
リ：あら、ブライアン、こんにちは。来た音がしたと思ったわ。
Brian: Hi ok, Lisa. How are you?
ブ：やあ、リサ。元気かい？
Lisa: Just fine. And yourself?
リ：元気よ。あなたは？
Brian: OK.
ブ：調子いいよ。
Katie: OK, we made a lot of food, but first, let's all sit down together and have a drink.
ケ：オーケー。たくさんお料理作ったけど、まずは、みんな座って。飲みましょう。
Lisa: Brian, would you like a beer?
リ：ブライアン、ビール飲む？
Brian: Yes, please.
ブ：ああ、もらうよ。
Lisa: Katie, what will you have?
リ：ケイティー、あなたは何飲む？
Katie: beer is fine for me as well.
ケ：私もビールがいいわ。
Lisa: OK, I'll just get them.

Lisa: OK, here you go.

Katie: Thanks, Lisa. You should sit down, too.
